Meeting our client today and giving them specific design templates so they wont have a confusion on what to choose. We were thinking of a site with a news roll and section of the site part of the main frame to direct to specific links such as calendar, etc. Once we talk to them i feel like we can start to pull the trigger on the design and full structure.

I'm interested to see what you guys come up with. It seems like their design now is alittle everywhere, so this might give you guys the opportunity to fine tune their identity system. While their current site seemed a bit cluttered there did appear to be some usable pieces throughout the site. I agree that with this kind of site, a news feed for them to post new items would be a nice addition, maybe you can place the page under the home page so the site still maintains a clean appearance when visited.
